GROUPS WHO HAVE ENJOYED OUR PLACE When we first offered Our Place as a vacation rental, we assumed that it would attract other The Domino Players. A woman contacted Pattie one day to see request a tour of the house to see if it would be suitable for their group outing. When she saw the big table in the upstairs dining room, she made their reservation on the spot. It turns out that her group was made up of couples who loved to play dominos, and she said that table would be perfect for them to all play at once! Men’s Prayer Group. A group of up to 10 men has stayed with us several times now. This group of Christian, church going men was looking for a place with solitude, beauty, comfort, and a decent place to fish. Our neighbor told me that he would see them all head for the dock, fish until the bell sounded, then back inside they went. At night they fished, talked and relaxed. A wonderful group of guys, we look forward to having them with us again. The Motorcycle Vacationers. Six couples and their six Harley Davidson motorcycles stayed with us for a week. They went out each day and rode their motorcycles enjoying the scenic highways and byways of the area, and spent the evenings on the decks and the docks. The Business Team. A small business owner brought his wife, his office members (accountant, receptionist, sales/marketing manager) and their spouses. They have been back twice! Air Force Pilots. We have had Air Force pilots and their families stay with us on several occasions. It seems that pilots and their families actually become a kind of extended family themselves. We appreciate and love our men and women in uniform, and welcome them at every opportunity.
